Program Layouts

Ceremony programs are available in a variety of styles and layouts, from a single tea length page to a multi page booklet style program. Programs can be helpful if you're having a service with customs or traditions some of your guests may not know about. They can also allow your guests to follow along with a reading, or find out who the best man is. For suggestions on what information to include in your program, along with sample wording, you can visit Belletristics' wording guide.

Below you'll find information about the different layouts available for ready made program designs. To see the available graphic styles for programs, please view the program styles page.

Flat Programs

Flat program designs can be single sided or two sided. These programs are fairly easy to assemble, as you'll just need to print them out and trim to size. Common sizes for flat programs are 5"x5", 5"x7", or 4"x9".

Single sided programs work great if you have only a small amount of information to include (such as a brief order of service, or short listing of your bridal party).

A two sided design is generally recommended if you have a lengthy order of service, or would like to list your bridal party as well as the order of service.

Booklet Programs

Booklet programs a very popular program option—they're incredibly versatile and allow you to include and organzie a good deal of information. They can consist of a single sheet of paper, folded in half horizontally then vertically. Or they can have a cover (sometimes made out of a colored cardstock) with multiple inside pages.

Booklet programs can come in a variety of sizes: square, A7, and tea length are all popular sizes.

Tri-Fold Programs

Tri-fold programs (that fold like a brouchure) are a great way to include a good deal of information on a single piece of paper.

They're also fairly easy to assemble (just fold your paper in thirds). Once the paper is folded, you're left with six "pages" (or sections) allowing you to split up and organize the information you're including.

ACcordion fold Programs

Accordion fold programs are the last in the folded program category.

They generally consist of six panels folded accordion style, with a separate cover and back.

While accordion programs look amazing, and allow you to include a lot of information in a compact booklet, they can be time consuming to print and assembler. You'll also need access to a large format printer, as these programs need to be printed on 11"x17" paper.

Fan program

single page

A fan program is a great idea if your ceremony will be held outside or in an area without air condition during the warm months. The program will serve the double duty of keeping your guests informed as well as providing a way to cool down!

These programs are generally printed front and back, and you can add ribbon at the bottome for embellishment, or adhere to a popsicle stick for a paddle style fan.

Fan Program

multi-page

Multi-page fan programs are another great option that allows you to include a good deal of information in your program.

These programs are generally printed only on one side, then all the pages that make up the fan are secured together at the bottom using ribbon or a grommet.

Stacked progam

horizontal

Both horizontal and vertical stacked programs feature three or more pages of varying sizes.

For the horizontal stacked program, all the pages are the same height, with the top page measuring 4.75"x5", with each additional page 0.75" wider.

The variation in lengths allows a portion of each page to peek out to show the title for that particular page.

stacked program

vertical

Vertical stacked programs are the same layout as a horizontal stacked program, just rotated!

Either orientation of stacked program can also include a cardstock backer which will fold over the front of the program approximately 1".

The program pages can be secured together using staples, adhesive, or a hole punch and ribbon or string.

stacked program

This stacked program style consists of mutiple pages of the same size, secured together at one corner using a staple or hole punch and ribbon.

It is usually printed only on one side, but can also be printed both front and back.
