Privacy Policy
Belletristics respects your privacy! Any personal information you supply to Belletristics will be kept private and will not be shared with any third parties.
Belletristics reserves the right to display images of previous work. Any personal information (such as last names, addresses, or locations) will be changed or blacked out to protect your privacy.
Copyright
The designs, images, graphics, and entire content of this website are property of Belletristics, unless otherwise noted. Any contents of this site should not be used without the written permission of Belletristics.
All designs are for non-commercial use, unless specified in the purchase agreement.
By purchasing a design, you are purchasing the rights to reproduce the design, in its entirety "as is" (with exception to resizing).
You may NOT use an individual graphic separate from the design, unless you have prior permission. The graphics used in Belletristics' designs are either created by Belletristics or the rights to use the graphics commercially have been purchased . It is a violation of the copyright to reproduce those graphics without the artist's consent.
If you wish to share any of Belletristics' designs on your web site or blog, please note "Belletristics" as the creator of the design, and include a link back to this site.

Turn Around Time
You can expect to receive your first set of proofs in 3-5 business days from the time your payment is complete and you have returned all requested information. Revisions will be sent back in 1-2 business days.
Please keep in mind, if you place an order after business hours, it will not be processed until the next business day. So while an order placed at 11 am on Wednesday will be processed the same day, one placed after 4 pm on Friday will not be processed until Monday.
Rush Orders
Turn around time from payment to first proof is 3-5 business days. Please plan accordingly, and make sure you also allow time for any revisions that may be needed.
If you need your design sooner than 3-5 business days, a rush fee of $45 will apply.
If you need rush services, make sure to contact Belletristics before ordering to make sure your needs can be accommodated.
Payment
Belletristics accepts PayPal for all payments.
Please keep in mind that if you pay by e-check, or if you have an unconfirmed Pay Pal address, I will wait until funds clear to begin work on your project.
If you don't have a Pay Pal account, you can still make a purchase. You can either sign up for a Pay Pal account, or you can pay with a credit card through Pay Pal without creating an account.
It is requested that you pay your invoice in a timely manner. Work on a project will not begin until payment is made in full. If an invoice remains unpaid for more than 10 business days, the invoice may be cancelled at Belletristics' discretion. If your invoice has been cancelled and you still wish to work with Belletristics, a new order must be placed.
Refunds and Exchanges
All sales are final once work has begun on a design.
If you wish to cancel your order, please contact Belletristics immediately to find out the status of your design. If work has NOT begun on the design, your payment will be refunded. (a $1 fee may apply to any cancelled order)
Exchanges are not allowed once work has begun on a design.
Ready-made Monogram Designs
When placing a ready-made monogram order, you may chose to see a proof of one more monogram than you order, then choose your final design(s) during the proofing process.
When ordering a ready-made monogram, you must select the number of monograms you wish to order (1,3, or 5) or you will not be forwarded to PayPal and your order will not be received.
Ready-made monogram designs are sold "as is", with exception to color and information change. Changing the placement of any part of the monogram or adding any element to the monogram will incur a $5 fee. You may remove the date in any monogram at no cost. If you wish to change the format a date is written in, a fee may apply.
All initials/names/dates will not work with all designs. Belletristics will attempt to recreate the monogram exactly using your information, but font styles, sizes, and layouts may be revised to better fit the design at the discretion of Belletristics.
Proper monogram etiquette states that the ladies' name should come first. If you do not wish to follow this tradition, please note it on your order form.
Ready-made monogram designs are not intended for use as business logos.
Ready-made Monogram Revisions
Two free revisions are included with your ready made monogram purchase. Additional revisions are available at $5 each. Requests for revisions to your monogram should be made in a timely manner. Your two free revisions are available for up to 60 days after placing your order. If after 60 days you wish to request revisions, a $5 fee will apply.
Once your final file is sent, no more free revisions will be made. If your require revisions after the final file is sent, a $5 fee per revision will apply.
One free font change is included in your order. If you would like to use a different font than is shown in the sample monogram, please make note of this when placing your order.
Revisions to ready made monograms are limited to color change, re-sizing, and minor adjustment to placement of text and/or graphics (e.g., moving an element slightly up, down, left, or right). Any other changes will incur a customization fee.
Ready-made Monogram usage
Ready made monograms are for personal use only.
Ready made monograms are not intended for use as business logos, advertisements, packaging, or branding.
No commercial use is allowed.
By purchasing a monogram design, you are purchasing the rights to reproduce the design, in its entirety "as is" (with exception to resizing).
You may NOT use an individual graphic separate from the design, unless you have prior permission. The graphics used in Belletristics' designs are either created by Belletristics or the rights to use the graphics commercially have been purchased . It is a copyright violation to use the graphics in a manner that is not explicitly permitted, or to reproduce those graphics without the artist's consent
Ready-made Invitation and Accessory Designs
Ready-made invitation and accessory designs are sold "as is", with exception to color, size, and information change. Changing the placement, font, or orientation of any part of the design or adding or removing any element to the design will incur a $5 fee per change (ie. $5 for one font change and $5 for adding a graphic).
Ready-made Invitation and Accessory Design Revisions
Ready-made design orders include 3 total proof sets; your initial proof and 2 revisions. Your first proof will consist of the designs ordered, personalized with your colors and information. The remaining two proofs will consist of requested revisions to the design. These free revisions are available for up to 60 days after placing your order. If after 60 days you wish to request revisions, a $5 fee will apply.
Additional revisions are available at $5 each.
Revisions to ready-made designs are limited to color adjustment and resizing.
Once your final file is sent, no more free revisions will be made. If your require revisions after the final file is sent, $5 fee per revision will apply.
If an error is made in the design process by Belletristics, the error will be fixed at no charge.
Custom Design Price Quotes
Any price quote provided by Belletristics for a custom design will be valid for 10 business days. During this time, you have the opportunity to accept this quote and continue with the design process. You may also request revisions to the quote, such as adding or removing requested designs.
Once the quote has been accepted, a PayPal invoice will be sent. Work on a project will not begin until payment is made in full. If an invoice remains unpaid for more than 10 business days, the invoice may be cancelled at Belletristics' discretion.
If, after 10 business days have passed, you wish to continue with the design process, a new quote will be submitted.
Pricing is subject to change without notice.
Custom Design Contract
A custom design contract is a summary of the specifics of your design. An overview of the relevant policies will also be included in the contract. If you need to make any corrections or adjustments to the designs requested or information to include in the design, you should do so before returning the contract.
Work will not begin on a custom design until the contract is returned.
Custom Monogram Designs
Pricing for custom monograms varies, depending on the complexity of the design. To receive a price quote, please fill out the custom monogram quote request.
Your first proof for a custom monogram design will include 3-5 design concepts based on the design information provided. After receiving your first proof you have the option to:
1) Approve 1 design to move forward with and make revisions to
2)Request a design that combines elements from the provided options
3)If you feel the design options provided do not fit the specifications you requested, you may request 1 new alternate design*
*Please note: You may only request a new design option during the first round of proofs. The rest of the proof rounds are limited to revisions of previously provided design options only. If, after the second proof has been sent, you wish to see new design options, you must make a new custom purchase.
You are allowed to choose 1 design from the provided options for your final file. The chosen monogram will be sent in jpeg, png, or pdf format. Vector formats (AI or EPS) may be available for an additional fee. Please contact Belletristics about vector format availability. If you would like to purchase any of the other monogram options provided, you may do so for $20 each. No revisions are included in this cost.
Custom Monogram Revisions
Custom monogram designs include a total of 5 rounds of proofs; the initial proof and 4 revisions. After the first proof set, revisions are limited to color, font, size, graphic placement, and overall layout only.
Once your final file is sent, no more free revisions will be made. If you require revisions after the final file is sent, a fee of $5 per revision will apply.
Custom Invitation and Accessory Designs
Pricing for custom invitation and accessory designs will be determined based on the complexity of the design and number of accessories requested.
Your first proof for a custom invitation design will include 3-5 options based on the information provided. After receiving your first proof you have the option to:
1) Approve 1 design to move forward with and make revisions to
2)Request a design that combines elements from the provided options
3)If you feel the design options provided do not fit the specifications you requested, you may request 1 new alternate design*
*Please note: You may only request a new design option during the first round of proofs. The rest of the proof rounds are limited to revisions of previously provided design options only. If, after the second proof has been sent, you wish to see new design options, you must make a new custom purchase.
Once an invitation design has been decided on, the rest of your coordinating designs will be created in the same style. You will receive a proof of all the designs, and have the opportunity to request changes.
When the final design(s) have been approved, your final files will be sent in PDF format, unless you request a different file format. If a vector format (AI or EPS) is needed, additional fees will apply.
You may request the following options for your final design's PDF layout:
1) 1 design per page, no crop marks
2) 1 design per page, with crop marks
3) multiple designs per page, no crop marks
4) multiple designs per page, with crop marks
Address labels, bellybands, and escort cards are also available with formatted text boxes inserted.
Before receiving your final file(s), you should check with your printer about any specific file requirements they may have, or to insure that the file formatting you've requested is compatible with their needs. Additional fees will apply if you require different file formatting after receiving your final files.

It is your responsibility to proofread, spell check, and verify the accuracy of the information included in your design. Belletristics does not proofread or spell check any information provided by the customer. Occasionally, Belletristics may offer suggestions for changes regarding grammar or invitation etiquette, but it is up to you to approve these suggestions.
It is strongly suggested that you print out a full size test copy of your design to get a feel for how the final product will appear with regards to color and legibility. Small font sizes or using pale colors for text may be difficult to read, and it is your responsibility to check the legibility of your design.
File Formats
Final monogram files will be sent via email in high resolution digital format. When placing your order, please specify what file format you prefer (jpeg, png, or pdf).
Different sizing options are available (1.5", 2", 3", etc). Please specify the final dimensions for your monogram when placing your order.
You will receive one final file for each monogram ordered.
If you require multiple file formats, sizes, or color combinations for your monogram, fees will apply.
You may order your monogram in scalable vector format (AI or EPS) for a fee of $5 per monogram.
Invitations and all other designs designs will be sent as a pdf.
Address labels, bellybands, and escort cards are also available with text boxes inserted.
If you will be using a vendor to print your design, you must check with them prior to ordering to find out if they require a specific file formatting or resolution.
If you or your vendor require a vector file format (EPS or AI), an additional fee will apply.
Colors
Please keep in mind that all computer monitors will show colors differently, and the printed color will not match exactly what you see on the screen.
To choose your colors, please download Belletristics' color chart. For best results, you should print out the color chart using the paper and printer you'll use for your final design.
If you know the PMS number of the color you'd like, please include that information in your order, rather than using Belletristics' color chart.
Not all color combinations will work with all designs. Choosing one dark color and one light color is recommended. Also, most light colors will not work well for small text, and many printers are unable to print white or other very light colors, even on dark paper. Please check with your printer first if you'd like a very light colored design to be printed on a dark paper.
For designs with solid colored backgrounds, using a professional printer is recommended.
Use of Photography
Photographs can be used in any designs. However, in order for Belletristics to accept a photograph for use in a design, the following requirements must be met:
1)If your photo was taken by a professional photographer, you must send a copy of the release form along with the photo. There are no exceptions.
2)The photo must have a resolution of at least 300 dpi
Photo Editing
Belletristics does not provide photo editing services. The only changes Belletristics will make to a photograph are as follows:
1) Change from color to black and white or sepia toned
2) Resize or crop the photograph to fit the design

Not all names or colors will work with all designs. While Belletristics will make every effort to recreate a design, or create a suitable alternative if necessary, using your colors and information, it will not look exactly like the example shown.

Additional Policies
During the design process, it is often helpful to receive "inspiration pictures" to convey the look and style you'd like for your design. However, Belletristics will not replicate another designer's work, so please do not ask. The point of a custom design is to create something that is 100% you, not a clone of someone else's style.
